As the Security Operations Analyst, you will support and enhance CAI’s enterprise security operations program by ensuring operational security measures are defined, implemented, and monitored across the organization., We are looking for a Security Operations Analyst to support and enhance CAI’s enterprise security operations program by ensuring operational security measures are defined, implemented, and monitored across the organization. This position will be full-time and remote.
What You’ll Do
- Administer and maintain assigned security platforms and tools, serving as the primary owner for one or more solutions and providing backup support for others
- Monitor and manage security-related tickets within the Service Desk queue and assist support teams with security incidents and requests
- Review, investigate, and respond to phishing reports, providing guidance and education to end users
- Assess, identify, and mitigate security risks across the enterprise and recommend compensating controls when needed
- Audit technical and business processes for compliance with security policies and recommend improvements based on findings
- Analyze security data, reports, and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement
- Support security incident response activities independently or under the guidance of senior security leadership
- Perform security control assessments and continuous monitoring activities using NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) guidance
- Produce security reports, dashboards, incident documentation, and post-incident reviews
- Support security-related contract reviews, compliance questionnaires, and risk assessments through data collection and analysis
- Evaluate security vendors and tools, gathering requirements and recommending solutions that align with business needs
- Create, update, and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and operational documentation
- Provide end-user training, support, and guidance on information security best practices
- Lead or support enterprise-wide security awareness and education initiatives
- Stay current on emerging threats, attack vectors, security technologies, and industry best practices
Requirements
- 1-4+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree or an additional two years of related experience in lieu of a degree
Preferred:
- Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISA, GSEC, or similar
- Experience with security operations tools and enterprise security monitoring platforms
- Experience supporting incident response and security awareness initiatives
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and related security concepts
- Ability to assess security risks and recommend appropriate remediation strategies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional movement throughout the office or facility
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
- Ability to attend meetings, training sessions, and security-related activities as required
Benefits & conditions
$60,000 - $65,000 per year
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
