Job description

BAE Systems is hiring a Data Scientist for a long-term contract role in Sterling Heights, MI. This role will focus on building and maintaining data infrastructure, dashboards, pipelines, and reporting solutions while working with large datasets and engineering teams., * Design and maintain data pipelines, databases, and dashboards

  • Collect and transform data from multiple sources
  • Support data reporting, analytics, and visualization
  • Troubleshoot data infrastructure and system issues
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support business needs
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and performance

Requirements

Do you have experience in Redshift?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Math, Statistics, or related field

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
  • Strong experience with SQL, Power BI/Tableau, AWS Redshift, and data pipelines
  • Experience with tools such as Dataiku, Oracle, Excel, MATLAB, or similar
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience working in fast-paced team environments

Preferred:

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum environments
  • Automotive or defense industry experience is a plus, * Do you have at least 6 years of experience working with data infrastructure, data pipelines, databases, or data warehousing?

  • How many years of experience do you have with AWS Redshift, SQL, or cloud-based data environments?

  • Do you have hands-on experience with dashboarding and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau?

  • How many years of experience do you have working with data transformation or analytics tools such as Dataiku, Oracle, or similar technologies?

  • Have you worked in a cross-functional team environment supporting engineering, analytics, or large-scale data projects?

  • Are you legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, comfortable commuting daily to Sterling Heights, MI for an onsite role, and available to work 1st Shift on a 9/80 schedule?
