Job description

Smile Digital Health is seeking a Technical Implementations Lead to support customer implementations and deliver high-quality technical solutions across healthcare environments., * Lead technical aspects of customer implementation projects within the scope of Smile Digital Health products and services.

  • Configure the Smile platform, develop scripts, troubleshoot issues, and design technical solutions.
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance to customers throughout implementation and deployment.
  • Develop expertise in technologies and standards including HL7, FHIR, OpenID Connect, Kubernetes, Java, JavaScript, JSON, and XML.
  • Collaborate with Development, Product Management, Solution Architecture, Support, Implementation, and Account Management teams.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, priorities, and customer requirements effectively.
  • Identify technical issues, develop solutions, and escalate risks when necessary.
  • Support technical support analysts with troubleshooting and technical guidance.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support as required.
  • Assist with RFI/RFP responses and technical solution development to support new business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate project and time reporting in NetSuite while maximizing billable project utilization.
  • Stay current with healthcare technology, interoperability standards, cloud technologies, and industry best practices.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will combine strong Java development and integration skills with healthcare interoperability experience, particularly HL7 and/or FHIR. The role requires excellent communication, problem-solving, organization, and the ability to work directly with customers and internal technical teams., * 5+ years of professional experience in Java and JavaScript development.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL, and Git.
  • Healthcare industry experience is required.
  • Hands-on experience with HL7 and/or FHIR is required.
  • 3+ years of experience independently designing, developing, and delivering software solutions.
  • Experience with software implementations, integrations, or technical solution delivery.
  • Proven ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead technical meetings and clearly explain technical concepts and decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with HL7 v2, FHIR, and/or CCDA/C-CDA.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.
  • Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with OpenID Connect/OAuth and healthcare APIs.
  • Experience working with EHR/EMR or other healthcare systems.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or iterative development methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field.
