Job description

A leading technology and cybersecurity organization is seeking a Full Stack Security Developer to join its core Cybersecurity team in Philadelphia, PA on a contract basis. This role will focus on architecting, developing, and maintaining security-focused applications supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM), using technologies including Angular, Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Node.js, REST APIs, MySQL, MongoDB, and AWS. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring the candidate to work onsite 2-3 days per week., * 30% Angular / Front-End Development

Daily Responsibilities

60% Hands-On Development - Design, develop, test, secure, and maintain IAM applications and reusable security components across the full technology stack.
20% Technical Leadership & Design - Develop technical solutions, identify platform gaps, propose improvements, evaluate new technologies, and take ownership of development initiatives.
20% Team Collaboration - Participate in code reviews, mentor team members, collaborate with security and technology stakeholders, troubleshoot production issues, and help drive projects through successful delivery.

Requirements

Full-stack software development experience with both front-end and back-end development
Strong experience with Angular, preferably recent versions
Strong Java 17 development experience
Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Security
Strong experience developing and integrating REST APIs
Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native application development
Experience with Node.js
Experience working with MySQL and/or MongoDB
Understanding of secure software development practices and security protocols
Experience with security scanning, code reviews, static code analysis, and secure coding standards
Understanding of software architecture and design through production deployment
Experience with DevOps tools and automated application build/deployment processes
Experience working in Agile development environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience developing applications within Identity and Access Management (IAM) environments
Experience with enterprise-scale applications and web services
Experience with cloud migration and modernizing applications for AWS
Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
Experience with open-source frameworks
Experience working in a cybersecurity-focused organization
Ability to evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions
Experience mentoring or coaching junior developers
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technology, software development, or security
Ability to independently develop technical designs and propose innovative solutions
