Requirements

  • Key skills: - Basis International languages of Progression/5 (BBx, Pro/5) and Business Basic for Java (BBj)
  • 10+ years recent development experience specifically with the Basis International languages of Progression/5 (BBx, Pro/5) and Business Basic for Java (BBj)
  • They are actively developing in these technologies and have been for 10+ years
  • Development experience means 80% of time actively adding new features / capabilities vs break fix or small enhancements from production support issues
  • Current usage of BBj is to support integrations not graphical user interfaces
  • Experience with Integrations in/out a Pro/5 system (ie: http, XML, RPC)
  • Demonstrated experience with learning a custom code base they didn t develop
  • Experience developing based on specifications developed by others and working in a formal SDLC environment
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and creating SQL queries to assist with troubleshooting
  • Optional/Plus
  • Experience in Hospitality / Vacation Ownership industry
  • Development experience with both Progression/5 and BBj enabling system-to-system integrations.
  • Unix/Linux shell scripting experience
  • Experience with other Business Basic variants such as Thoroughbred BASIC, ProvideX (now PxPlus), MAI OpenBasic.
  • Experience using external logging platforms for troubleshooting - Client / Dynatrace
  • Individuals with prior MVW, Vistana, Starwood Vacation Ownership experience should be vetted with MVW early in the consideration cycle.

Benefits & conditions

Pay Range: $50 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
