Job description
You will join a data-driven banking environment focused on improving data quality, strengthening data governance and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work on Client, KYC and Financial Security data, collaborating closely with IT, Operations, Compliance, Data Managers and business stakeholders., Data Quality Management
- Design and implement data quality controls for critical Client, KYC and transactional data.
- Monitor data quality through KPIs, dashboards and dedicated reporting tools.
- Identify data quality issues proactively and reactively and assess their business impact.
- Analyze data anomalies and perform root cause analysis.
- Define and implement data remediation plans in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality controls are continuously improved and adapted to evolving business needs.
Data Issue Resolution & Remediation
- Coordinate the resolution of data quality issues across IT, Operations, Compliance and business teams.
- Investigate dysfunctional or non-optimized uses of Client and KYC data.
- Propose appropriate remediation solutions, including:
- IT developments
- Process improvements
- Manual corrections
- Data cleansing activities
- Prioritize issues based on their business and regulatory impact.
- Support impacted teams throughout change management and remediation activities.
- Follow up on corrective actions and ensure sustainable resolution of identified issues.
Data Governance & Documentation
- Support data certification and data assessment processes.
- Maintain and improve critical Financial Security data documentation.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of:
- Data dictionaries
- Business glossaries
- Data definitions
- Data reference tools
- Consolidate and harmonize data definitions across different business areas.
- Support Data Managers in maintaining accurate and up-to-date data documentation.
- Contribute to identifying valuable data use cases for the organization.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare and present Data Quality KPIs, dashboards and reporting.
- Participate in Data Quality Assessment & Remediation Committees.
- Collaborate closely with Data Managers, IT teams, Operations, Compliance and business stakeholders.
- Translate complex data issues into clear business impacts and actionable recommendations.
- Facilitate discussions between technical and business teams to ensure effective remediation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Data Quality practices and standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Quality Analysis, preferably within a banking environment.
- Strong understanding of data lifecycle, data management and data usage.
- Proven experience analyzing data and translating findings into business impacts.
- Experience in Financial Security data, particularly KYC, AML and/or Sanctions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across Business, IT, Operations and Compliance.
- Comfortable investigating complex data issues and challenging existing processes.
- Autonomous, structured and able to manage multiple priorities.
Technical Skills
Mandatory:
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
- Good knowledge of MS Access and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data analysis and data quality controls.
- Strong reporting and documentation capabilities.
- Good stakeholder management skills.
