IT Security Officer

Role purpose: Lead and coordinate information security practices to protect systems, networks, and data, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Key responsibilities - Develop, implement, and maintain IT security policies, standards, and procedures. - Monitor security posture, identify risks, and drive remediation plans across teams. - Oversee vulnerability management, patch coordination, and security configuration baselines. - Manage incident response activities, including detection, investigation, containment, and post-incident reporting. - Support security audits, risk assessments, and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR as applicable). - Deliver security awareness training and promote secure-by-design practices. - Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to embed security in projects and change management. Required skills and qualifications - Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and security governance.

• Hands-on experience with security monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and incident handling. - Familiarity with access control, identity management, network security, and endpoint protection. - Ability to document controls, write policies, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience supporting audits and compliance reporting. - Preferred: Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+, ISO 27001) and experience with SIEM tools.
