Job description
We are seeking a senior-level Systems Engineer III to support the Air to Ground Communications (A2GC) program within the TMC/M2T2 portfolio. This role serves as a critical contractor backfill on an established team. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in radio and transport capabilities within CPE C2IN, bridging the gap between tactical networks and Army aviation platforms., * Aviation Integration: Provide engineering expertise to integrate tactical radio and transport capabilities with Army aviation platforms.
- Process Execution: Apply advanced systems engineering processes, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Program Support: Provide engineering expertise for A2GC program development, testing, configuration management, and training.
- Architecture Design: Support transport and networking architecture focused on current and future tactical capabilities.
- Technical Evaluations: Conduct technical assessments, risk analyses, and performance evaluations of network designs.
- NGC2 Modernization: Evaluate and integrate new technologies to support Capability Set (CS), Integrated Tactical Network (ITN), and NGC2 Modernization initiatives for the A2GC program.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate closely with CPE C2IN, PMs, PdMs, ACM, and Army aviation stakeholders on interoperability in a NGC2 modernization efforts.
- Requirements Translation: Review and understand acquisition documentation and technical specifications for Army tactical communications systems, translating those needs using the T2COMs problem-driven requirements model to support the development of standards-based, cost-efficient technical solutions.
- Document Review: Review Government Performance Work Statements (PWS) and contractor proposals for technical accuracy.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Program development?, * Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in engineering, testing, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of tactical network systems engineering experience.
- Domain Focus: Proven experience with CPE C2IN radio/transport systems and familiarity with Army aviation platforms.
- Education Substitution: An additional seven (7) years of related tactical network experience can substitute for the BS degree.
- Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance.
Required Technical Competencies
- Tactical Hardware: Deep knowledge of CPE C2IN tactical communications systems, radios, and transport capabilities.
- Aviation Systems: Familiarity with Army aviation platform constraints, interfaces, and communication requirements.
- Requirements Modeling: Experience applying the T2COMs problem-driven requirements model to technical solutions.
- Networking: Experience in network engineering, LAN/VLAN design, and hardware implementation.
- Protocols: Strong knowledge of routing protocols, multicast, routing configurations, and IPv4/IPv6 addressing.
- Analysis & Tools: Proficiency in network protocol analysis using Wireshark or Sniffer, and experience with VMware environments.
- Infrastructure: Deep understanding of RF engineering, end-to-end network design, voice/data transmission, and backbone networks.
