We’re looking for a Cyber Security Associate to join our team in Bristol or Norwich.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in security operations, cyber monitoring or incident response who wants to build their expertise in a supportive environment.

A bit about the job:
You’ll play an important role in helping keep Aviva secure by monitoring, detecting and responding to cyber security threats across our technology estate. Working as part of our Cyber Security team, you’ll investigate security events, identify vulnerabilities and help reduce cyber risks before they become issues.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across Technology and the wider business, providing clear guidance and support on security-related matters. From analysing alerts and responding to incidents to producing reports and sharing insights, you’ll help strengthen our cyber resilience and support good customer outcomes every day.
Requirements

Experience working in a cyber security, security operations, monitoring or incident response environment

Ability to investigate security incidents, identify root causes and recommend practical remediation actions

Candidates must have a good understanding of vulnerability management. Experience using vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable is advantageous but not essential.

Experience using a scripting or programming language such as Python, PowerShell or Command Line scripting

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for a range of stakeholders

Starting salary of circa £40,000 (depending on location, skills, experience and qualifications)
