Job description
This well-established ground engineering business is investing heavily in its digital transformation strategy and is seeking a Digital Transformation Manager to join their team in Basingstoke. This pivotal role will provide oversight for all digitalisation initiatives across the business, driving productivity and innovation.
What you’ll be doing
- Overseeing all digitalisation initiatives across work winning, construction, engineering, and support functions.
- Identifying opportunities to explore and implement digital solutions for improved productivity and task automation.
- Building strong, effective relationships at all levels within the business.
- Formulating and analysing ideas for digital concepts to bring benefits, developing business cases for approval.
- Implementing strategies aligned with increasing productivity, sustainability, safety, and quality through digital transformation.
- Leading the implementation of change with a focus on benefits realisation, leveraging people, process, and technology.
- Collaborating with departments such as IT, operations, and engineering to provide digital solutions.
- Leading your team and stakeholders effectively.
- Monitoring digital initiative performance and adjusting to achieve optimal results.
- Driving a data-informed approach for performance and compliance measurement.
Requirements
Recognised construction or engineering industry experience.
- Proven experience using digital tools and processes, capable of leading and training others on digital software applications.
- A track record of establishing effective relationships at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deliver collaboratively under time pressure.
- Experience working collaboratively in a consultant or contractor environment, delivering complex infrastructure schemes.
- Proficiency in IT and experience with multiple digital processes on previous schemes.
- Ability to create effective relationships with project teams, supply chain partners, and clients under time pressure.
- A BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng, HND/HDC or qualified by experience is preferred, alongside a project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 or APMP).
- A full understanding of design, construction, and asset management stages in the digital lifecycle, with the ability to mentor team members in digital techniques.
