Job description
To be the lead for all IT and communications for the company ensuring all on-site and remote systems are
maintained and ensuring appropriate security measures in place., * Manage relationship with external IT service providers for e-mail/network/backups/printers.
- Manage relationship with ERP supplier and other external IT suppliers.
- Gain compliance for cyber essentials.
- Manage and create cost efficient contracts for IT companies and Telephony.
- Advise on IT infrastructure.
- Maintain, implement and improve business automations
- Manage day to day ERP solution (currently Glovia to move to Epicor).
- Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system.
- Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
- Preserve assets, information security and control structure.
- Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
- Mentor and Guide IT Apprentice
Requirements
- Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience.
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not essential.
- Experience of Epicor Kinetic would be advantageous.
- Project management experience also advantageous along with cost management.
- A proven track record of quickly adding value in a fast-paced environment.
- Technically strong with a commercial mind-set.
- An investigative mind, both on tasks at hand but also to question if there is a better way.
- Ability to progress many activities concurrently.
- Proven ability to work under pressure.
- Experience of developing processes and procedures.
Flexible approach to work, as additional hours may be required.
