Job description

Manage a team of software engineers as a Tech Lead Manager (TLM).
Review and contribute to technical design documents, ensuring code quality, testability, and adherence to best practices.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to engineers.
Diagnose, debug, and resolve technical issues, including performance and power optimization.
Drive improvements to the teams development processes and tools.

As a Technical Lead Manager, we focus on display and power management technologies for Android OS development across a range of devices, helping ensure the stability and extensibility of critical display and power frameworks for the Android ecosystem. We partner with Pixel, Android partners, and internal Google teams to support new features, enable upcoming innovations, and address gaps in Androids display and power capabilities. Android powers more than 3 billion devices worldwide, and we provide the platform for OEMs and developers to build compelling devices such as smartphones, tablets, TVs, and wearables.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of team leadership or management experience.
3 years of experience working in one of the following domains: Android, IOS, Embedded, Firmware.
Masters degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
Experience working with program languages such as Java and Kotlin.
