Job description

We are hiring Qt/QML C++ Engineers at the Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior levels to support the development of advanced software applications and user interfaces for complex technology systems. This is an on-site role for our client located in Sterling Heights, MI. This is an opportunity to work with a collaborative engineering team focused on designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, reliable software solutions., The Qt/QML C++ Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using C++, Qt, and QML. The ideal candidate will have strong object-oriented programming skills, experience developing intuitive user interfaces, and the ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers and other cross-functional teams.

Depending on level, this individual may also take on increasing responsibility for software architecture, technical leadership, design decisions, mentoring, and complex problem resolution., * Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Qt/QML and C++.

  • Develop intuitive, responsive, and high-quality user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements and deliver new features.
  • Write reusable, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and optimize application performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality and development standards.
  • Work with version control systems and established software development processes.
  • Apply knowledge of multithreading, networking, and other advanced C++ concepts as required.
  • Participate in Agile development activities.
  • Stay current with relevant software development tools, technologies, and best practices.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior-Level Candidates

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex software development initiatives.
  • Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions.
  • Lead the resolution of complex technical and performance issues.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Drive improvements in software quality, development processes, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • Junior Qt/QML C++ Engineer: 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Mid-Level Qt/QML C++ Engineer: Experienced professional with demonstrated expertise in Qt/QML and C++ software development
  • Senior Qt/QML C++ Engineer: Advanced experience leading complex software development efforts and providing technical guidance on application architecture, design, and implementation

Candidates will be considered for the appropriate level based on their experience, technical expertise, and ability to work independently., * Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming.

  • Experience developing applications using the Qt framework and QML.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile practices.
  • Familiarity with multithreading, networking, and advanced C++ concepts.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cross-platform application development.
  • Experience using debugging and performance optimization tools.
  • Experience designing and developing complex software applications.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with software architecture and technical leadership for senior-level candidates.

Experience requirements will vary by level, with increasing expectations for technical depth, independence, leadership, and software architecture experience at the Mid-Level and Senior levels
