Job description
Peraton is currently seeking to hire an experienced Computer Network / Artificial Intelligence Advisor to train and advise U.S. and partner forces in cyber and AI functions at the direction of the U.S. Government., * Provide subject matter expertise across Cyber Threat Intelligence, digital force protection, AI implementation, network maintenance, and conventional communications (including radio and wired systems).
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly master emerging cyber and AI tools to train, advise, and assist U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) and partner nation forces.
- Must be capable of maintaining servers and networked computer systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (Degree in a computer science-related field (software engineering, cybersecurity, computer engineering, information technology, or similar).
- An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of the bachelor’s degree requirement.
- Relevant experience includes:
- Computer/information systems design
- Software/hardware engineering
- Network security
- Vulnerability analysis
- Penetration testing
- Digital forensics
- Information assurance
- Systems engineering
- In-depth understanding of web exploitation concepts and techniques.
- Experience utilizing MITRE ATT&CK, CVSS, and NIST frameworks to assess vulnerability severity and risk impact.
- Security+ certification.
- Other professional certifications such as: CEH, CCNA-Security, CySA+, OSCP (or equivalent), PenTest+, or similar.
- Completion of multiple Hack-The-Box penetration testing labs and challenges, demonstrating hands-on expertise in vulnerability enumeration, exploitation, privilege escalation, and post-exploitation within realistic adversarial environments.
- Experience with AI-generated media, including deep-fakes, audio manipulation, and synthetic media.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently or in small teams with minimal supervision.
- Network setup and maintenance experience.
- Ability and/or any experience teaching in a computer science or related field.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A+
- Network+
- Cyberspace Operations Integration Course (COIC).
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
- Open IO Certification.
- Experience with SIEM tools, patch management, endpoint security, Windows Server/Linux administration, and NIPR/SIPR environments.
- Familiarity with RMF/ATO processes.
Benefits & conditions
Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
