Software Engineer 3

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 3 for a hybrid contract opportunity in Newport News, VA., Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions. Designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. Supporting Automated Regression testing utilizing software such as Tricentis Tosca and Opentext UFT Managing, writing and executing automated test scripts supporting Siemens Teamcenter Knowledge share test automation skills among team members, 5/40 workweek. First shift. 8 hours per day. Core hours 8am - 4pm. It will be hybrid with the ability to attend in-person meetings.

2 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in related field; 0 years of relevant professional experience with a Master’s Degree Knowledge of software testing Knowledge of automated testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca or Opentext UFT Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter Knowledge of agile software development principles Logical thinking Problem solving abilities, Bachelor of Science degree in related field is required. School must be accredited.
