Job description

  • Platform Development: Designs, codes, debugs, documents, deploys, and maintains solutions on the ServiceNow platform in a highly efficient and effective manner.\n
  • Process Automation: Develops and configures ServiceNow to automate internal Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes, ensuring operational efficiency across IT and business workflows.\n
  • Module Engineering: Executes platform engineering (cloud-hosted and/or on-premise) focusing on ITSM Modules including Service Request, Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management, alongside security and regulatory disciplines.\n
  • Data & Code Optimization: Optimizes ServiceNow data models and table structures while actively participating in and applying strict coding standards and conventions to support consistency across the development team.\n
  • Requirements Alignment: Reviews and applies requirements from internal and external teams, partnering closely with the business and IT to gather inputs and translate them into actionable ServiceNow configurations and implementations.\n
  • Deployment & Migration: Assists with technical design, comprehensive documentation, and the secure migration of changes to production environments.\n
  • Develop & Configure ITAM Modules: Build and enhance SAM Pro, HAM Pro, and SaaS Management modules, including normalization, reconciliation, entitlement models, and license metrics\n
  • Integration & APIs: Create integrations with third-party tools (e.g., BellManage, SolarWinds, Xerox, LDAP, Forescout, Intune, AWS, Azure) using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and MID Servers.\n
  • Reporting & Data Management: Performs data loading and mapping; creates and enhances dashboards, ad-hoc reports, custom views, and scheduled jobs to track critical system metrics.\n
  • Workflow Automation: Use Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Scoped Apps to automate asset lifecycle processes (e.g., receiving, assignment, disposal)\n
  • Carry out unit testing and resolve defects to ensure high-quality deliverables.\n
  • Partners closely with the business and IT teams gather input to support ongoing business needs for ServiceNow configuration, implementation, and support.\n
  • Schedules, installations, and tests system software upgrade.\n
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.\n
  • Documentation & Training: Prepare technical and user documentation, and provide knowledge transfer to new team members.\n

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelors degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters degree with 6+ years of prior relevant experience additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree. \n
  • Requires a current DoD Secret clearance.\n
  • At least 4 years of ServiceNow development and scripting experience (JavaScript, Glide APIs, HTML, XML), with deep proficiency in Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and API integrations.\n
  • ServiceNow Certifications\n
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, required.\n
  • Strong expertise in ITAM (SAM/HAM) and ITOM (CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping) modules.\n
  • Proven experience in large-scale ServiceNow implementations and platform governance.\n
  • ServiceNow Expertise: Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Suite (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM), workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and portal development)\n
  • Knowledge of AI integration within ServiceNow, including Now Assist and AI Agents.\n
