Job description

Cox Automotive is seeking a Privacy Governance Senior Manager to lead enterprise privacy strategy across its automotive technology and media brands. This role designs and maintains privacy frameworks, policies, and controls to meet global regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. You’ll partner with Legal, Security, Product, and Data teams to embed privacy-by-design, conduct risk assessments and DPIAs, manage data inventories, and oversee vendor privacy reviews. You will track KPIs, support incident response, drive training and awareness, and advise senior leaders, helping shape trusted, compliant data-driven solutions worldwide., * Lead design and execution of enterprise privacy governance framework across Cox Automotive brands

  • Develop and maintain privacy policies, standards, and data handling guidelines aligned with global regulations
  • Partner with Legal, Security, Product, and Data teams to embed privacy-by-design into platforms and services
  • Drive privacy risk assessments, DPIAs, and data mapping for new and existing initiatives
  • Monitor regulatory changes (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and translate into actionable requirements
  • Define and track privacy KPIs, reporting status and risks to senior leadership
  • Oversee third-party data processing reviews and vendor due diligence for privacy compliance
  • Lead incident response support for privacy events and coordinate remediation plans
  • Deliver training and awareness programs to strengthen privacy culture across the organization
  • Mentor and guide privacy analysts and cross-functional partners on best practices
