Job description

Cox Automotive is seeking a Privacy Governance Senior Manager to lead enterprise-wide data privacy oversight across its automotive technology and media portfolio. In this role, you will design and maintain privacy policies, standards, and controls that meet global regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, while supporting telecom and media-specific obligations. You’ll partner with Legal, Security, Product, and Data teams to embed privacy-by-design, conduct risk and impact assessments, and manage data mapping. You will also drive training, metrics, vendor governance, and incident support in a collaborative, people-first culture with strong growth opportunities., * Lead design and oversight of Cox Automotive’s privacy governance framework across brands and platforms

  • Develop and maintain privacy policies, standards, and data-handling procedures aligned with global regulations
  • Partner with Legal, Security, Product, and Data teams to embed privacy-by-design in products and services
  • Drive privacy risk assessments, DPIAs, and data mapping for new and existing initiatives
  • Monitor compliance with laws such as GDPR, CCPA and telecom/media privacy requirements
  • Lead privacy training, awareness, and communications for business and technical stakeholders
  • Establish and track KPIs, reporting on privacy posture and remediation to senior leadership
  • Oversee third-party data processing and data-sharing governance, including contract requirements
  • Support incident response, breach assessment, and regulatory/consumer inquiries
  • Mentor and guide junior privacy and governance team members
