Cloud Consultant

Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Security / AWS Controls Consultant for a top financial services client. This candidate will partner closely with engineering and technology teams to design, develop, and refine cloud use cases within AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud architecture, security controls, governance, and risk management. They will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring cloud solutions are built in alignment with best practices while meeting compliance and operational requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a cloud-focused professional who enjoys collaborating across teams and influencing cloud strategy within a large enterprise environment.

Day-to-Day:

• Work closely with technology teams to develop and document cloud use cases

• Design cloud-based solutions aligned with organizational standards and controls

• Evaluate cloud architectures and ensure proper security and compliance controls are implemented

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify cloud requirements and best practices

• Provide guidance on AWS services, cloud security, and governance

• Support risk assessments and control reviews for cloud initiatives

• Help drive cloud adoption while maintaining security and regulatory compliance

Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud environments

• Experience developing and designing cloud use cases

• Deep understanding of cloud security controls and governance frameworks

• Ability to partner directly with technical and engineering teams

• Experience translating business requirements into cloud architecture solutions

• Knowledge of cloud risk management, compliance, and control implementation

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - Experience within large financial services environments

• Knowledge of multi-cloud environments (Azure/GCP)

• Experience with cloud security assessments and audits

• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in banking

• Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent
