Job description

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to lead development, integration, and support of the Calypso Back Office platform supporting settlements, accounting, reconciliations, and post-trade processing across Capital Markets. This role will provide technical leadership for critical back-office systems, drive strategic platform enhancements, and partner closely with Operations, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance., * Lead development and support of the Calypso Back Office platform, supporting settlements, accounting, reconciliations, and post-trade processing

  • Design, develop, test, and implement Calypso enhancements, interfaces, workflows, and integrations
  • Ensure platform stability, operational efficiency, and compliance with risk, regulatory, and audit requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues related to trade processing, settlements, accounting, and system integrations
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and optimization of back-office operations and controls
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Production Support, and Platform Engineering teams to deliver strategic initiatives and maintain platform reliability
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and lead project delivery across cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and influence technical direction for the Calypso Back Office ecosystem

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies
  • 5+ years of experience designing and supporting integrations between vendor platform and upstream/downstream systems using APIs, messaging, and batch interfaces.
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues in a high-availability environment
  • 5+ years of experience of SDLC, application architecture, testing, release management, and production support processes
  • 5+ years of experience leading complex technology initiatives and mentoring software engineers, * 10+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies
  • 3+ years of experience supporting or developing solutions on the Calypso platform, preferably within Back Office modules
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets operations, including settlements, accounting, payments, reconciliations, and post-trade processing
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner across Technology, Operations, and Business teams
