Database Administrator - REMOTE

Designs, develops, and maintains high-performance PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers for enterprise-scale Oracle databases. Analyzes, rewrites, and optimizes complex, slow-performing SQL queries to minimize CPU, I/O, and memory consumption. Uses Oracle diagnostic tools including Explain Plan, TKPROF, SQL Trace, Autotrace, and AWR/ASH reports to measure, benchmark, and test query performance. Applies deep understanding of Oracle indexing mechanisms including B-tree, Bitmap, Function-Based, and Covered Indexes for data retrieval optimization. Optimizes data access paths including Full Table Scans, Index Scans, and Hash Joins for efficient data retrieval. Establishes performance baselines, formulates tuning hypotheses, executes controlled tests, and documents measurable improvements. Engineers efficient data retrieval processes and fine-tunes complex queries within an Oracle environment. Performs application performance monitoring and tuning for .NET, C#, and Citrix environments. Works with Starburst and Trino SQL for federated query execution. Provisions databases and manages database configurations for enterprise-scale applications.

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR). Extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers for enterprise-scale Oracle databases. Expert-level ability to analyze, rewrite, and optimize complex SQL queries for performance. Proficiency using Oracle diagnostic tools including Explain Plan, TKPROF, SQL Trace, Autotrace, and AWR/ASH reports. Solid understanding of Oracle indexing mechanisms (B-tree, Bitmap, Function-Based, Covered Indexes) and data access paths. Ability to establish performance baselines, formulate tuning hypotheses, execute controlled tests, and document improvements. Experience tuning applications in .NET, C#, and Citrix environments. Experience with Starburst and Trino SQL for federated query execution. Strong foundational knowledge of Oracle indexing strategies and data retrieval optimization. Methodical approach to performance engineering and iterative tuning cycles., Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) to comply with ITAR regulations.
