Job description

The Arizona Department of Education is seeking an experienced .NET Full-Stack Developer to develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain statewide web applications and backend processes supporting Arizona’s K-12 education systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and modern full-stack development. Experience with .NET 6+, Blazor, Azure DevOps, and Agile/Scrum is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and unit test new application features and web applications. Review business requirements and technical design specifications. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects. Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Microsoft technologies. Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, QA, Operations, and leadership. Participate in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Participate in software design discussions and code reviews. Provide development estimates and support project planning. Coordinate with Network Services and Operations teams for environments and deployments. Support application builds, deployments, maintenance, and production releases. Apply software design patterns, SOLID principles, and development best practices. Perform root cause analysis and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software application development experience. Strong C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core 3.1+ experience. ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET MVC, Razor Pages. Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap. Advanced Object-Oriented Programming and SOLID design principles. Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Application Services, Azure Functions, and Storage Accounts. Strong SQL Server development, stored procedures, functions, and relational database modeling. Power BI development including semantic models, reports, dashboards, and visualizations. Experience with Azure DevOps, TFS, Git, or other source control/work management tools. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical and business teams. Preferred Skills .NET 6+ and Blazor Legacy .NET Framework Telerik / Progress DevCraft / Kendo UI Application architecture and system design Azure Service Bus, API Management, Key Vault, and other Azure services SSIS / SSRS for ETL and reporting Agile/Scrum experience Education or government sector experience Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
