Job description

The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.

Data Engineering ensures raw data is usable and accessible for the organization. Data Engineering encompasses numerous specialties of data acquisition, integration, and provisioning., As a Data Engineer within the Digital Solutions Finance team, you will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and architecture to support analytical and operational requirements for Finance stakeholders. You will specialize in leveraging Databricks and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ingest, process, and transform large-scale datasets. This role requires a strong technical foundation in data engineering, cloud-based data warehouses, and collaborative problem-solving to build reliable, scalable, and secure data solutions., * Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Databricks (Spark/Scala/Python) and GCP services (such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow).

  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality datasets.
  • Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and establish best practices for data engineering within the team.
  • Perform performance tuning of key processes to optimize processing times and minimize cloud infrastructure costs.
  • Assist in migrating legacy data workflows to modern cloud platforms., * Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects
  • May contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Works on complex projects of large scope
  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
  • Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
  • Completes work; independently receives general guidance on new projects
  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives
  • May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).
  • Hands-on experience developing data solutions using Databricks, preferred
  • Solid experience working within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, particularly with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and IAM.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouse concepts.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver projects of varying difficulty., Candidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.
