Job description

As a Network Engineer II in a top-performing Telecommunications client’s internal lab environment, you will support the management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a complex network consisting of nearly 600 network devices. You will work within a Jira-based ticketing system to perform day-to-day network operations, including VLAN provisioning, IP address assignments, routing and switching support, and troubleshooting IPv4/IPv6 connectivity issues., This role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise and service provider networking technologies, including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, F5, and A10 platforms. You will work alongside senior engineers to support lab initiatives, network testing, and infrastructure improvements while developing expertise in advanced data center technologies such as Spine-Leaf architectures and VXLAN environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong networking fundamentals looking to grow their technical depth within a fast-paced, highly visible environment.

Requirements

1-5 years of experience supporting enterprise or service provider network environments

Current CCNA certification required

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including

OSI Model

TCP/IP

Routing & Switching

VLANs

DNS

DHCP

Firewalls

IPv4/IPv6

Multicast

Hands-on experience troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues

Experience configuring and supporting Cisco networking equipment

Familiarity with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF

Experience working within a ticketing system (Jira, ServiceNow, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or related field; equivalent experience considered Exposure to F5 or A10 load balancers

Basic understanding of data center networking concepts such as Spine-Leaf architectures and VXLAN

Experience supporting lab, testing, or pre-production environments

CCNP certification or pursuit of advanced networking certifications

Benefits & conditions

Pay Range: $37-41

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
