Job description

We are seeking multiple Systems Engineers to contribute to the full life cycle systems engineering process for a cutting-edge digital ground station supporting US Navy communication missions. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining systems to ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, and network components, optimizing system performance and reliability., * Design, develop, and implement complex systems architecture based on technical requirements.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Evaluate and select suitable hardware, software, and network components for system implementation.
  • Support installation and configuration of system hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth and efficient system functionality.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration details, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network engineers, and DSP developers, to ensure cohesive system integration.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams, assisting with system-related issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in the entire Systems Engineering V Life Cycle.
  • Experience in designing and implementing systems architecture and documents (e.g., CONOPS, CDR, PDR, Trade Studies, Traceability, ICDs).
  • Experience with hardware, operating systems, network protocols, and software applications.
  • Experience with system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Active Secret Clearance (Eligible for TS/SCI).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Satellite or RF communication systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warrenton, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $80.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This hybrid role requires two days per week onsite in Warrenton, VA, with the first 1-2 months being onsite daily for training.
