Data Engineer

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data solutions supporting Dealer Systems applications and critical business reporting functions across multiple data sources. Engineer and enhance backend data models, including the design and maintenance of logical and physical data models to improve scalability, performance, and data integrity. Develop, optimize, and support database objects including stored procedures, views, functions, and database jobs, while performing data analysis, profiling, validation, and root cause investigations to ensure the accuracy and reliability of business-critical data assets. Build, support, and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Qlik Replicate (Attunity) and related integration technologies, while leading data migration and modernization initiatives involving Oracle, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Snowflake platforms. Support batch processes that synchronize and update critical dealer and enterprise data sources, and work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and application teams to translate business requirements and user stories into scalable data engineering solutions. Collaborate as part of an Agile team through sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, testing, and production deployment activities, while identifying dependencies, risks, and integration points across enterprise applications and data platforms. Provide production support, troubleshoot data-related issues, implement enhancements, and take ownership of deliverables by providing accurate estimates and delivering high-quality solutions with minimal supervision.

7+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience

Strong expertise with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and relational database design

Strong Data Modeling experience, including logical and physical data model design

Experience supporting and enhancing enterprise data platforms and backend application data models

Hands-on experience with Qlik Replicate (Attunity) for data migration, ETL, replication, and modernization initiatives

Experience designing, building, and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines

Production support, SSIS development experience

Experience working with AWS services such as S3 and Lambda

Experience working with Snowflake and modern cloud data platforms

Python or comparable scripting/programming experience

Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including participation in sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and retrospectives

Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders usses:

SSRS reporting experience

Power BI development and dashboarding experience

Experience with Visual Studio development tools

Experience supporting large-scale data modernization or legacy system migration initiatives
