the project is planned, agreed and delivered cross functionally from concept to production implementation.This is an exciting and varied role that will mean you will get involved with all areas of engineering and have a significant influence within the business. Ultimately you will get the opportunity to design an entire product.We have opportunities for both product design and also tooling, jig and fixture engineers. Key Responsibilities Provide robust and innovative high-quality designs that meet all customer and stakeholder requirements. Ensure that designs are produced using best practice and conform to all company and legislative requirements.Ensure all designs you are responsible for are appropriately validatedActively and constructively participate in design reviews.Take ownership and responsibility for design projects you are responsible for and escalate any risks in a timely mannerSupport resolution of customer, operational or quality issues with all products you are responsible
Requirements
forContinuously improve the existing IWT product portfolio through Design led VAVE initiatives, modular / commonality concepts, and design for manufacture improvement programmesActively contribute to the creation and maintenance of IWT design processes and standardsPreparation for thorough and concise technical reports where required to support your design activities Essential Skills / Experience Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training and experienceDemonstrable delivery of relatable products and / or engineering activities3D CAD modelling and detail drafting experience (preferably Solid works)Evidence of good project management skills Desirable Skills / Experience Automotive, industrial or agricultural / off-road engineeringChassis and axle/suspension designWelded fabrication design Key Attributes A flexible and enthusiastic team player with a passion for engineering and problem solvingDemonstrates a practical hands-on approachDemonstrates a sense of urgency and a desire to deliver against agreed targets.Not afraid to challenge others or be challengedGood interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly across the organisation at all levels Summary: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pmOffice based at our purpose built, state-of-the-art Design Hub at Boundary Park where all design and prototype activities are based.Travel between our manufacturing sites will be required33 days holiday per year
