Senior Data Engineer

• Design and build scalable, reliable data pipelines that power key business decisions
• Shape our cloud-based data platform, improving performance, cost and usability
• Take ownership of solutions from idea through to production and beyond
• Drive improvements in how we build, deploy and monitor data products
• Troubleshoot complex data issues and resolve them
• Support releases and ensure everything we ship is stable and observable
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, reusable patterns and best practice
• Coach and mentor other engineers, helping them grow and succeed
• Collaborate with product, platform and engineering teams to deliver meaningful outcomes
• Contribute to technical decisions that improve scalability, reliability and speed

• Strong experience designing and delivering production-grade data solutions
• Confidence working with cloud technologies, with AWS preferred
• Solid coding skills in languages like Python, SQL, Java or Scala
• Experience working with large-scale data platforms, data lakes or warehouses
• A good understanding of modern data concepts like Lakehouse, ingestion and analytics
• Experience across the full delivery lifecycle, from design to support
• A mindset focused on quality, simplicity and continuous improvement
• The ability to break down complex problems and explain them clearly
• A natural instinct to support and mentor others
