You’ll be a senior individual contributor, setting standards, producing architecture documentation, reviewing designs and providing assurance before engineering delivery begins.

What you’ll do;

  • Define common business entities, definitions, hierarchies, keys and data contracts across source systems and markets.
  • Architect data products that support pricing, revenue management, marketing measurement, forecasting and trading.

  • Embed privacy, security, consent, retention and cross-border data requirements into the architecture from the outset.
  • Define how analytics, ML, AI services and agents access structured data safely and consistently.
  • Produce data models, flows, lineage, architecture decision records and reusable design patterns for engineering and business teams.
  • Review and assure designs, challenge where needed and represent Data in cross-team architecture forums.

Requirements

  • Strong data architecture experience in a commercial environment where data informs revenue, pricing, trading or marketing decisions.
  • Excellent conceptual, logical and physical data modelling skills, including dimensional and event-based approaches.
  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP etc), ELT patterns, APIs, events, streaming, batch integration and data contracts.
  • Experience with Snowflake would be highly beneficial
  • Practical SQL, Python and transformation tooling experience, ideally including dbt.
  • Experience with consumer, digital and transactional data at scale, including web and app analytics and GA4.
  • Understanding of data design for ML, AI or automated decisioning, including trusted definitions, controlled access and decision/outcome capture.
  • Knowledge of privacy and security by design across multiple jurisdictions, including GDPR and related data protection requirements.
  • Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and explaining architecture decisions in business terms.

Desirable experience;

  • Experience in entertainment, travel, hospitality, retail or another businesses where price, demand and inventory interact dynamically.
  • Snowflake and AWS experience, with exposure to AI or model-serving environments such as SageMaker or Snowflake Cortex.
  • Customer data platforms, identity resolution, consent management, experimentation or feedback-loop design.
