Job description
Customer Outcomes Monitoring is a key deliverable for Standard Life and is integral to delivering our Consumer Duty commitment, as set by the FCA. Being able to evidence good customer outcomes is a critical deliverable for the Performance & Insight team, as it forms part of regulatory compliance and is a legal obligation, whilst also helping to build loyalty and trust with our customers You will lead and deliver our Customer Outcomes Monitoring (COM) programme. The ability to manage the COM project and engage senior stakeholders, as well as previous experience working within a regulated industry, is essential. The BI Engineer will work closely with the existing Data Engineer aligned to the programme, as a bridge between data engineering and the analysts working on reporting and dashboard delivery using PowerBI. You will ultimately be responsible for the development of a suite of dashboards to show how we are performing in relation to Customer Outcomes, as well as upskilling the analysts on dashboard development and developing internal capability in modern BI tooling. You will also be responsible for sourcing data and helping to ensure it is available and accurate in the Azure Databricks platform Other key aspects of the role include responsibility for defining the COM strategy and roadmap of planned COM activity, prioritisation of COM activity, and engaging with senior stakeholders across the business to document requirements and translating these requirements into actionable insights, whilst communicating and embedding completed dashboards & reports into the business
Requirements
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of delivering complex BI solutions
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Extensive experience with data visualisation tools, such as Power BI / Tableau, including Power BI DAX and data modelling
- In depth experience of Azure Databricks and data warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions, joins)
- Experience in querying large datasets using SQL
- Excel knowledge (advanced formulas, Power Query, PivotTables, modelling)
- Implementation of ETL processes to ensure robust, reliable KPI reporting
