The organisation works across enterprise Wi-Fi, campus networking, data centres, routing, and network security, delivering resilient, secure, and scalable solutions with a focus on measurable outcomes. The company is looking for a Data Centre and WAN Network Consultant to join its growing technical team, covering pre-sales, design, implementation, and support. The role focuses on Juniper MX, Arista, and EVPN/VXLAN fabric engineering and is suited to someone with solid data centre and WAN routing experience who is looking to develop their skills and career, with certifications and training fully funded. - Design and implement data centre and WAN routing solutions across complex enterprise environments (60% of the role)
- Architect and deploy EVPN/VXLAN overlay fabrics on Arista and Juniper MX platforms
- Provide 3rd line escalation support across the DC and WAN routing estate (20%)
- Support pre-sales engagements, technical scoping, customer conversations, and solution positioning (10%)
- Produce high-quality Low-Level Designs and technical documentation to support delivery
- Travel to customer sites across the UK when projects and engagements require it
- Juniper MX Series, routing and WAN
- Arista, data centre switching and fabric
- EVPN / VXLAN, overlay architecture
- BGP / OSPF / IS-IS, routing protocols at scale
Requirements
Skills/Must Have:
- Strong Juniper MX background, WAN routing design and implementation in enterprise or SP environments
- Arista data centre experience, switching fabric, leaf-spine architecture
- Solid EVPN/VXLAN knowledge, youâve designed and deployed overlay fabrics, not just read about them
- Strong routing protocol fundamentals, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS at scale
- Someone on the way up, strong foundations, driven to develop, and ready to take on more responsibility
- Comfortable working independently and remotely, you manage your own time and deliver without hand-holding
- Confident enough to support pre-sales conversations and customer-facing engagements
- JNCIP, Arista ACE, or equivalent certifications beneficial, any held will be built on, all training and certs funded going forward
