  • We lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.

  • We review moderately complex technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
  • We resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new client needs while leveraging our understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements.
  • We collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
  • We lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
  • We implement strong data governance, lineage, and reconciliation controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of reported data.

Requirements

  • Experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, education, or a combination of these.
  • Strong technical experience in Java 8 or higher, Spring Boot / Spring Framework, MS SQL Server, Git, and Maven/Gradle.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets products such as derivatives, securities financing transactions, equities, and fixed income.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting, risk, compliance, or audit-driven environments.
  • Knowledge of non-financial regulatory domains.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools and metadata management platforms.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures or streaming platforms such as Kafka or Flink.
  • Exposure to containerisation and orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of controls, auditability, and regulatory expectations in large financial institutions.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across business and technology teams.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI principles and how AI can augment software engineering.
