Job description

Insight Global’s client has an Enterprise Architecture team that needs a delivery-focused full-stack developer to build a custom EA Governance application. The EA team will provide process requirements, product direction, workflow definitions, and architecture support. The developer will own the technical execution across the front end, back end, APIs, relational data layer, integrations, security, testing, debugging, CI/CD, AWS deployment, and stabilization.

Day to Day

  • Translate product requirements, workflows, wireframes, and backlog items into working software

  • Build responsive interfaces for intake, assessments, reviews, approvals, dashboards, action tracking, and administration

  • Develop back-end services, workflow logic, validation rules, APIs, and data-processing functionality

  • Design relational data models, schemas, queries, migrations, and data-access patterns

  • Build integrations with appropriate authentication, validation, retries, error handling, and observability

  • Develop and deploy application components using approved AWS services

  • Work in Tenneco-controlled GitHub repositories and GitHub Codespaces

  • Manage Git branching, pull requests, code reviews, releases, and merge conflicts

  • Create or maintain CI/CD workflows

  • Implement authentication, authorization, RBAC, secure secrets handling, logging, and monitoring

  • Write unit, integration, and functional tests

  • Debug issues across the application, database, integrations, identity, AWS, and deployment layers

  • Demonstrate working software incrementally and incorporate stakeholder feedback

Support UAT, production deployment, stabilization, documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer

Requirements

Must Haves

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying full-stack web applications

  • JavaScript/TypeScript development experience with React or Next.js

  • Back-end development experience with Python

  • Strong REST API development, enterprise integrations, and SQL/database design experience

  • Hands-on AWS application development and deployment experience

? Experience with services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, Bedrock, and SageMaker

  • GitHub experience including branching, pull requests, code reviews, releases, and CI/CD pipeline development

? GitHub Actions, GitHub Codespaces, and Dev Containers

  • Ability to gather requirements and independently build production-ready solutions

  • Experience with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools

  • Ability to perform code reviews and provide technical recommendations, risk assessments, and remediation guidance

Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions and tradeoffs Plusses

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation)

  • Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth, or OpenID Connect

  • Internal workflow, governance, approval, or case-management application experience

  • Dashboards, reporting, document management, notifications, and audit logging

  • Event-driven architecture, queues, retries, resiliency, and background processing

Enterprise security, privacy, testing, and production support experience

Benefits & conditions

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
