SAP S/4HANA Technical Architecture Lead

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Technical Architecture Lead to lead the technical architecture, design, integration, and implementation of enterprise SAP S/4HANA solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA architecture, SAP BTP, integrations, cloud/on-premise infrastructure, security, performance, and technical governance. This role will work closely with SAP functional teams, development teams, infrastructure teams, security teams, business stakeholders, and implementation partners to establish scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP architecture. The Technical Architecture Lead will also provide technical leadership throughout implementation, migration, testing, deployment, and post-production stabilization. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall SAP S/4HANA technical architecture for implementation, transformation, upgrade, and migration initiatives.
• Define end-to-end architecture across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Fiori, integrations, infrastructure, security, and external applications.
• Develop architecture standards, technical roadmaps, solution designs, integration patterns, and technical governance processes.
• Provide technical leadership for SAP S/4HANA implementation and migration, including system landscape design and environment strategy.
• Evaluate existing SAP environments and recommend modernization, optimization, and migration approaches.
• Lead technical design reviews and ensure solutions comply with SAP best practices, enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and performance expectations.
• Define and govern SAP integration architecture using technologies such as SAP Integration Suite/CPI, APIs, OData, IDocs, RFCs, web services, and event-based integrations.
• Provide architectural guidance for SAP BTP services, extensions, side-by-side applications, and clean-core strategies.
• Collaborate with ABAP, Fiori/UI5, Basis, security, functional, integration, data, and infrastructure teams.
• Provide guidance on SAP Fiori architecture, Gateway services, roles, authentication, and user experience components.
• Support data migration and conversion architecture, including integration with legacy and third-party systems.
• Establish technical approaches for high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, system performance, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Lead technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex SAP application, integration, infrastructure, and performance issues.
• Support SAP release management, transport strategy, testing, cutover, go-live, and production stabilization.
• Coordinate with SAP, vendors, implementation partners, and internal technical teams to resolve architecture and implementation issues.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical specifications, interface documentation, standards, and technical decision records.

• Extensive experience in SAP technical architecture and enterprise SAP implementations.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA architecture, implementation, migration, or transformation programs.
• Experience leading technical architecture for at least one large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration.
• Strong understanding of SAP application, integration, infrastructure, security, and development architecture.
• Experience with SAP BTP and associated integration/extension capabilities.
• Strong understanding of SAP Integration Suite/CPI, APIs, OData, IDocs, RFCs, and web services.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, and UI5 architecture.
• Good understanding of SAP Basis, system landscapes, transports, performance, monitoring, and environment management.
• Understanding of ABAP development architecture, custom objects, enhancements, interfaces, and clean-core principles.
• Experience designing integrations between SAP and enterprise/third-party applications.
• Experience with SAP security concepts, roles, authentication, authorization, and enterprise security standards.
• Strong knowledge of technical architecture principles, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
• Ability to translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical architecture.
• Excellent communication, documentation, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed technical teams, business stakeholders, and implementation partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation from SAP ECC to S/4HANA.
• Experience with RISE with SAP and/or SAP S/4HANA Cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud supporting SAP workloads.
• Experience with SAP HANA database architecture and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, or similar monitoring/lifecycle-management tools.
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and transport/release automation within SAP environments.
• SAP certification in S/4HANA, BTP, Integration, Basis, or SAP Architecture is preferred.
• Previous experience serving as a SAP Technical Architect, SAP Solution Architect, SAP S/4HANA Architect, or Technical Architecture Lead on enterprise transformation programs.
