Job description

Cascadience, a VIABILITY Company, is building Volio, an innovative AI-powered digital companion designed to support neurodivergent individuals, including people with ADHD, Autism, and Anxiety.

Volio is evolving into an engaging student companion that combines AI-powered support, intelligent scheduling, long-term memory, and gamified experiences to help reduce cognitive overload and support independence.

This is a unique opportunity to join a startup initiative backed by a 56-year established organization. As a Full Stack Engineer, you’ll help build and scale the technology behind Volio while working closely with product, operations, marketing, and external partners.

If you’re a product-minded engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and wants your work to have a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve AI-powered multi-agent workflows using Amazon Bedrock and LangGraph.

  • Build and optimize RAG pipelines and long-term semantic memory.

  • Develop mobile features using React Native, Flutter, or native iOS/Android technologies.

  • Create lightweight 2D gamification and student progression features.

  • Integrate GPS/geolocation functionality for school and class-related experiences.

  • Design and maintain data models across PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB Atlas.

  • Contribute to AWS infrastructure, Terraform, and secure cloud architecture.

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

  • Support mobile releases through Apple App Store Connect and Google Play.

  • Monitor application performance using tools such as New Relic, OpenTelemetry, and AWS X-Ray.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn ideas into accessible, reliable products.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building production applications, APIs, or mobile applications.

  • Strong experience with Python and preferably FastAPI.

  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.

  • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD automation.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Genuine interest in accessibility, inclusion, and technology that improves people’s lives.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • LangGraph, LangChain, Amazon Bedrock, or OpenAI

  • React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin

  • RAG, vector databases, or AI/LLM applications
