Job description

e2i offers students the opportunity to work within interdisciplinary teams while gaining paid, hands-on experience. Projects are provided by companies or entrepreneurial UVU students, and teams are assembled to work under the guidance of a student project manager to complete these projects-mirroring real-world industry practices., Tester / QA: Debug existing applications, identify performance bottlenecks, and perform rigorous cross-platform quality assurance to prepare apps for release on both iOS and Android app stores., Please share a link to your GitHub, portfolio, or other projects you have built, debugged, or deployed. 06

What is your step-by-step workflow for diagnosing and fixing crashes or performance bottlenecks (e.g., memory leaks, slow renders) in an existing React codebase? 07

What experience do you have handling platform-specific bugs and configuration files between iOS and Android? 08

What experience do you have regarding the process and tools used to build standalone release binaries and set up store listings for both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store? 09

What tools, emulators, or real-device testing strategies do you use to catch layout breaks and handle platform-specific permission differences between iOS and Android (e.g., TestFlight)? 10

Are you studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline?

Requirements

Must be a current UVU Student, preferably studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience or coursework in at least one of the core focus areas: iOS/Android mobile application development and UI/UX implementation. Familiarity with relevant languages and frameworks: React, Swift, Java, Ionic, or Capacitor.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
