Job description

CLIENT is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to take ownership of two enterprise services: Nexus.corp (artifact repository serving hundreds of developers) and SonarQube (code quality platform covering an enterprise-scale codebase). These services are critical to CLIENT software development lifecycle and are being elevated to dedicated ownership as part of a broader platform maturity initiative.

Your allocation will be approximately 80% Nexus.corp and 20% SonarQube. You will own day-to-day operations, upgrades, security compliance, and monitoring. You will work closely with a counterpart in India who focuses on compliance and high-availability build-out as Nexus.corp undergoes a criticality raise. What You’ll Do Own day-to-day operations of Nexus.corp and SonarQube be the accountable engineer for both services Perform version upgrades and system patching for both platforms Manage Nexus IQ Server integration, Repository Firewall, and malware detection Automate secret rotation (transitioning from manual to AAP-automated) Migrate monitoring from SumoLogic to Datadog dashboards, alerts, SLI/SLO Remediate Qualys vulnerabilities and close compliance gaps Handle SNOW tickets repository creation, permissions, proxy configuration, troubleshooting Coordinate with the India-based Compliance/HA engineer on criticality transition work Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for both services Create and maintain operational runbooks and documentation Participate in on-call rotation, AWS infrastructure operations CLIENT or IBM enterprise environment experience Key Stakeholders ALM/DEP Platform ownership, priority alignment Engineering teams Hundreds of developers relying on artifact services InfoSec Compliance, vulnerability remediation, malware response Sonatype Vendor support and product guidance PCO/Ops Infrastructure and networking This Role Is NOT A compliance-only role the India counterpart handles the resilience build-out Nexus SaaS operations that is handled by a separate team member A temporary engagement these services need a long-term dedicated owner Interview Process TA Screen Recruiter conversation, logistics, and fit Manager Interview Motivation, expectations, team fit, and competency evaluation Technical Interview (1 1.5h) Deep dive into relevant technical skills with scenario-based questions Competencies Evaluated Motivation What drives you? Requirements

4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or production operations Nexus Repository Manager administration (or equivalent artifact repository: JFrog Artifactory, AWS CodeArtifact) Linux systems administration (RHEL) Scripting proficiency Python and/or Bash Monitoring and observability Datadog, Prometheus, or equivalent CI/CD pipeline experience (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent) Incident management on-call, incident response, root cause analysis Strong documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Sonatype IQ Server and Repository Firewall experience SonarQube administration Enterprise compliance frameworks (ESS), Administrative Management, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Ansible, Bash Scripting, Computer Security, Continuous Deployment/Delivery, Continuous Integration, DevOps, Documentation, Firewalls, High Availability, IBM Product Family, Incident Management, Incident Response, Information/Data Security (InfoSec), Linux Administration, Maintain Compliance, Malware, On Call, Product Support, Python Programming/Scripting Language, Red Hat Linux Operating System, Root Cause Analysis, Scripting (Scripting Languages), Security Compliance, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Software Patches, Software as a Service (SaaS), Systems Administration/Management, Testing
