Job description

A driven, inquisitive DevOps specialist who thrives in secure, cloud-native, and mission-focused engineering environments. You enjoy solving complex delivery challenges, modernizing enterprise platforms, and accelerating software delivery for federal clients. You lead with automation, champion security, and deliver production-ready solutions that scale across hybrid and classified environments., As a DevOps Engineer SME, you will serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise DevOps strategy, CI/CD architecture, and secure software delivery. You will design and implement automated deployment platforms using GitLab, containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud-native patterns aligned to AFS accelerators and compliance frameworks. You’ll drive modernization efforts across multiple environments to ensure reliable delivery of applications and machine-learning solutions while establishing enterprise-wide DevOps best practices and zero-trust alignment.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience supporting automated testing and software deployment across multi-environment pipelines.
  • Strong scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar).
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and configuration-management tools.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex software, infrastructure, and deployment issues.
  • Minimum of an Active Top Secret Clearance

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Experience supporting machine-learning workflows, MLOps platforms, or AI/ML infrastructure.
  • Experience with source control platforms (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
  • Relevant industry certifications (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Security, DevOps).
