Job description
As a member of a specialized engineering team, you will support testing and validation activities for the Command and Control System - Consolidated (CCS-C) integrated environment. Your work will help ensure the successful deployment and operation of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications, custom-developed software, and satellite-specific data products supporting U.S. Space Force missions. Applications are hosted on Windows, Solaris, and Linux platforms., * Develop, prepare, and execute formal software acceptance tests
- Validate software maintenance releases and system enhancements
- Collaborate closely with software developers during unit, integration, and system testing activities
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and support resolution efforts
- Provide daily status reporting during formal test events
- Maintain and execute regression test suites to ensure system stability
- Support user acceptance testing and assist with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Verify software performance across Windows, Linux, and Solaris environments
- Apply software configuration management (CM) best practices to ensure consistency and integrity across multiple systems
Requirements
Clearance: At a minimum, Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance., * At a minimum, Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Current Security+ certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II), or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 2-4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience supporting MILSATCOM operations, satellite command and control systems, or a related developmental/operational environment preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both engineering teams and customers
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of software or system testing experience
- Experience supporting MILSATCOM and/or satellite command and control systems
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
- Experience working in classified or mission-critical operational environments
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and test management processes
- Ability to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer
