Job description

The Leidos Defense Group is seeking qualified candidates for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) position at Langley AFB. This role supports a major Military Intelligence Program aligned with the USAF Air Combat Command (ACC) ISR mission.\n \n In this role, you will provide TS/SCI Special Access Program (SAP) ISSO support to the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) and the 480th ISR Wing at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA.\n \n \nPrimary Responsibilities\n \n \n

  • Manage daily security accreditation and certification activities for TS/SCI SAP systems.\n
  • Monitor SAP systems and environments, update security plans, manage system changes, and evaluate the security impact of modifications in accordance with operational and security directives.\n
  • Oversee SAP account authorization, creation, and management.\n
  • Ensure all personnel possess the required clearances, authorizations, and need-to-know.\n
  • Develop and deliver security education, training, and awareness programs; ensure personnel complete required training prior to receiving SAP access.\n
  • Report hardware, software, or firmware changes to the ISSM and ensure proper actions are taken when vulnerabilities or incidents arise, following all governing directives.\n
  • Provide inputs to the DCGS System Security Authorization Agreement (SSAA).\n
  • Prepare all on-site information assurance documentation.\n
  • Maintain system accreditation data within the XACTA database.\n
  • Create POA&Ms, and recommend or implement corrective actions identified in Security Assessment Reports (SARs).\n
  • Collaborate with product developers, AF acquisition teams, security, IT, and operations personnel to develop and coordinate IA solutions during daily operations and regular working group forums.\n
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with AF DCGS stakeholders; strong oral and written communication skills are essential.\n

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree and 10 years of relevant operational experience. Minimum of 4 years of IA experience required. Comparable experience may considered in lieu of a degree. \n
  • Current TS/SCI clearance eligibility at start of employment.\n
  • Current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification prior to start date.\n
  • Desired Qualifications\n
  • SAP access within the last 2 years.\n
  • Extensive experience with RMF, Assessment & Authorization (A&A), and Xacta IA Manager workflows.\n
