Job description
The DCGS-MC Integration team is responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of multiple enterprise intelligence software solutions for the United States Marine Corps.
Primary responsibilities of software integrators include integrating software into existing system baselines and creating new system baselines. Candidates will also be given opportunities to research and develop innovative solutions for Marine Corps Intelligence applications.
Essential Duties of the Job:
- Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
- Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
- Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
- Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
- Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED with additional years of experience or
- B.S. in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science
- CompTia Security+ CE within 6 months of hire
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
The qualified candidate should possess the following:
- Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL databases
- Proficient in administration of Windows workstation systems.
- Experience with Batch (Windows command line) and Powershell scripting.
- Proficient understanding of Computer Science fundamentals in design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot root causes of failures for Windows systems and propose solutions.
- Experience with version control systems like Git, SVN, etc.
- Basic knowledge of computer networking concepts.
- Passion for actively contributing to an Agile development team, offering insight on design, architecture, and implementation of mission critical software systems.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.
- Secret level Clearance required;TS/SCI level Clearance desired.
Additional Quals Desired:
- Experience working within a DevOps and CI/CD environment.
- Managing and monitoring Windows or RHEL server resources in a RedHat OpenShift environment.
- Experience with the ArcGIS product suite.
