Head of IT

• Acts as a relationship manager to identify and understand technology requirements, challenges, and opportunities within the business, and manages expectations and communication to stakeholders,
• Manages risks and directs mitigation efforts.
• Manages all contractual compliance, key relationships & delivery targets of IT Managed Service Providers & regional software vendors, including their adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Owns the implementation of Group IT Strategy at the regional level for North America in line with local business objectives.
• Owns the Service Delivery, Service Transition & Service Improvement functions for North America, and produces respective management reports for senior Business & IT stakeholders
• Supports the successful execution of in-venue events, ensuring high availability and quality of support, thoughtful end user change management, and adherence to security standards.
• Provides Service Management Reporting to include Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Service Contract Negotiation & Supplier Management
• Accountable for software system & end user device maintenance, data security & reliability
• Manages IT risks across projects, operations, security data & end users services, and directs mitigation efforts.
• Works closely together with global headquarters based in London, UK, and with client Europe based in Cologne, Germany, harnessing the enterprise IT organization, infrastructure, and technology capabilities to achieve business outcomes.
• Acts as the US representative on the Architecture Review Board, validating Architecture Decision records and approving design blueprints for client.
• Delivers IT financial management, budgeting & forecasting, cost accounting & reporting. Ensures disciplined cost tracking of Capex investments and management of Opex costs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in delivering IT projects and operations for large-scale events on-time and on-budget, preferably in the live entertainment industry.
• Broad technical domain experience across applications, cloud, networking & infrastructure
• Microsoft 365 & Azure Administrator certification (Expert level preferred)
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, technical staff, vendors, and partners, as well as diverse and multicultural audiences.
• Strong leadership, team building, and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor IT staff and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Proven track record of delivering IT solutions that meet the needs and expectations of event stakeholders, sponsors, participants, and audiences.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours where necessary, including weekends and holidays, during the critical event periods.
• Proven ability & track record of IT financial management & cost control, * Experience of large-scale public venue-based IT operations (e.g Entertainment, Sports, Events & Conferences)
• Must be capable of insuring that all laws, building codes, ordinances, policies, procedures, risk management and emergency procedures are followed - experience in entertainment-related field is a plus
• Certification in ITIL, PMP, or other relevant frameworks.
• Experience of achieving / support PCI DSS compliance for electronic payments
• Agile Project Management (Scrum/Kanban) or Scaled Agile (SAFe) training & experience
• Veeam Backup Service for M365 technical & operational experience
• Networking topology design knowledge & operational experience with large TelCo’s (.eg GTT, Verizon, AT&T). Experience with GTT networks preferred.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki-based SD-WAN, switches, Wi-fi AP’s, Printing services
• Operational experience with VoIP solutions (8x8 experience preferred)
