As a Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer within the Networking organization, you will spearhead the development of innovative services in the Networking Automation & Health domain to enable AI super clusters. This initiative involves building a robust software stack from the ground up to monitor and manage network infrastructure, automatically resolve network issues, and ensure high bandwidth with low-latency connections essential for AI workloads. You will assemble and lead a team that combines software engineering excellence with network control expertise, collaborating with senior technical leaders to design and deliver solutions to complex and impactful challenges. This is an exciting and transformative time for us. We are rapidly growing, still in the early stages, and driving ambitious initiatives such as network control plane development, network health monitoring, and auto-recovery services. We are seeking an experienced engineer with a deep understanding of systems design and distributed systems to build scalable, high-performance solutions. This role is located in Nashville, TN, Who are we looking for? We are looking for engineers with distributed systems experience. You should have experience with the design of major features and launching them into production. You’ve operated high-scale services and understand how to make them more resilient. You work on most projects and tasks independently. You have experience working with services that require data to travel long distances, but have to abide by compliance and regulations. The ideal candidate will own the software design and development for major components of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure. You should be both a rock-solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. What are the biggest challenges for the team? US: Hiring Range in USD from: $114,600 to $234,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
