Systems Engineer (Journeyman) - PMA 273

• Program Office: PMA-273 (Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems Program Office) is responsible for managing the aircraft, simulators, and associated systems that support the U.S. Navy’s undergraduate pilot training pipeline.
• Role Focus: Provides engineering and acquisition support to the Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) in the management of the T-6B Texan II - primary fixed-wing training aircraft., + Support systems engineering activities related to sustainment, upgrades, and safety of the T-6B Texan II.
• Monitor system performance, integration and airworthiness
• Coordinate with stakeholders across NAVAIR, training squadrons, and contractors to ensure fleet readiness and training mission effectiveness.
• Contribute to risk management, technical documentation, and compliance with acquisition standards.
• Active Secret DoD Security Clearance required
• Must be a US Citizen

Desired Background:

• Fixed-Wing Aviation Experience: familiarity with aircraft systems, flight training operations, or acquisition support for fixed-wing aircraft
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes and naval acquisition lifecycle.

• Must hold a BA/BS degree in a technical field or scientific field from an accredited college or university
• Must have three (3) years of recent and relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required
