Job description

We are seeking a highly specialized Network Architect Consultant to provide advanced engineering expertise for critical enterprise networking projects. Your role will be pivotal in modernizing infrastructure, improving resiliency, and establishing technical standards that align with the University’s strategic objectives. As a senior technical resource, you will collaborate with various teams to design, implement, and optimize the University’s network architecture.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
4+ years of experience in enterprise network architecture and engineering within complex environments.
Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies, including Juniper routing and switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
Experience with network security architecture, including Fortinet firewalls and VPN/SASE technologies.
Expertise in cloud and hybrid networking with AWS or Microsoft Azure.
Strong skills in network automation, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code.
US Citizen or Legal Resident.

Preferences

Experience in higher education environments.
Familiarity with Aruba and Cisco enterprise technologies.
Certifications such as JNCIP-ENT, FCP, CCNP, CCIE, ITIL, or CompTIA Security+.
