Job description

TEKsystems is seeking a skilled MES/SCADA Support Engineer to support and enhance manufacturing execution and automation systems. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining system uptime, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring reliable integration between manufacturing systems and business operations., * Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance MES/SCADA systems (Rockwell FactoryTalk)

  • Support and program Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot SCADA/MES network topologies
  • Integrate software with hardware systems, including system upgrades and redundancy configurations
  • Execute system outages and support remote access via VPN/RDP
  • Manage and support SQL databases, including queries and administration
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and plant stakeholders
  • Provide on-call support and assist during scheduled production downtimes
  • Proactively identify and resolve system reliability issues

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk
  • 3+ years of experience with SCADA systems
  • 3+ years of experience with electrical networking and remote access tools (VPN/RDP)
  • 3+ years of Allen-Bradley PLC programming
  • 1+ year of SQL administration and query experience
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, domain administration, and electrical systems
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL Server administration
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming or VBA
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working in manufacturing environments
