Job description
Adjunct instructors may be assigned classes at any of the four River Parishes Community College campuses (Gonzales, Reserve, Plaquemine, and St. Charles), as determined by student need and institutional demand. Teaching needs may include face-to-face/online and/or evening classes. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for timely and accurate submission of required documentation related to human resources and instruction., The pay for the position is contingent upon the hours and classes assigned. Adjunct instructors are currently paid at the rate of $800 per credit hour., Retirement - State of Louisiana employees are eligible to participate in various retirement systems (based on the type of appointment and agency for which an employee works). These retirement systems provide retirement allowances and other benefits for state officers and employees and their beneficiaries. State retirement systems may include (but are not limited to)
Requirements

Associate Degree in Information Technology related field from an accredited institutionOR any of the following certifications: CompTIA A+ Core 1 and Core 2 certification, CompTIA Network+ certification, CompTIA Cloud Essentials certification, CompTIA Security+ certification, CompTIA Cloud+ certification, CompTIA Linux+ certification, Microsoft 70-740 Installation, Storage, and Compute with Windows ServerANDat least 3 years of professional work experience in network administration or IT hardware/software support

Ability to teach a variety of courses within the department, including but not limited to: Problem-solving & Programming Techniques, IT Hardware Support, IT Software Support, Network Essentials, Introduction to Scripting, Introduction to Virtualization, Microsoft Windows Servers, Relational Database Coding, Introduction to Cloud Computing, Linux Server, Network Security Design, Advanced Topics in Linux
