Job description

Lindahl Reed is hiring a Technology Integration Manager to support the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Critical Mineral and Energy Innovation (CMEI). CMEI’s mission is to advance America’s critical minerals supply chains and accelerating next-generation energy technologies to strengthen our nation’s energy security and power our future. This CMEI position specifically supports the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP), office of Facility and Fleet Optimization (FFO). FEMP works with its stakeholders to enable federal agencies to meet energy-related goals, identify affordable solutions, facilitate public-private partnerships, and provide energy leadership to the country by identifying government best practices. This role will provide Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Energy Management expertise to help FEMP integrate AI into its programs to build the capacity of the federal agency workforce to achieve efficient, secure, and resilient energy use in facilities and fleets, thereby saving taxpayers money. This role will focus on the transition of legacy systems and methods to available leading-edge technology to include integration of AI-based methodology for internal and external customers. A top priority includes assessing current technology, developing and implementing program technology changes based on leaderships objectives. Candidate must have a strong AI implementation experience and foundational background of energy management best practices within the federal government. Candidate shall have a working understanding of existing FEMP programs, Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, Energy Act of 2020 and related industry standards. Support involves forward-facing, day-to-day interaction with DOE personnel, and DOE customers.

Position Responsibilities

Position will provide support to the FFO program offices including

  • Perform as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in AI and energy management

Requirements

This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks to meet the clients’ deadlines. May also assist in data development, analysis, and presentation for ad hoc and ongoing requests. Data analysis and report development skills using Microsoft Suite with specific skills with PowerPoint, Excel and Word and AI based solutions with human verification processes.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (engineering, energy management, sustainable energy, earth science, project management, or other related discipline).
