Job description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Operations Analyst and Senior Defensive Cyber Analyst to support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Defensive Cyber Command Center (DCDC). This position is on-site in Fort Meade, MD. These professionals will support enterprise cyber defense operations, threat detection, incident response, network analysis, and strategic cybersecurity initiatives across the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN). Join a mission-critical team responsible for defending national security infrastructure and protecting DoD systems from evolving cyber threats.
Responsibilities for the Cyber Operations Analyst and Senior Defensive Cyber Analyst include:
- Execute real-time cyber defense operations including incident handling, event triage, threat detection, network traffic analysis, and vulnerability management.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents utilizing SIEM platforms, security monitoring tools, and threat intelligence sources.
- Provide cyber situational awareness, defensive recommendations, and operational reporting to technical teams and senior leadership.
- Analyze enterprise cybersecurity architectures, technologies, vulnerabilities, and operational data to improve prevention, detection, and mitigation capabilities.
- Collaborate with DoD stakeholders, Computer Network Defense Service Providers (CNDSPs), and mission partners to support enterprise-wide defensive cyber operations.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cyber operations, incident response, security operations, network defense, or enterprise IT environments.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools such as Splunk, ArcSight, JIMS, CSAAC, IDS/IPS, PCAP analysis tools, SIEM platforms, and network monitoring technologies.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, DNS, malware analysis, vulnerability management, intrusion detection, cyber defense methodologies, and enterprise security operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to meet all customer security requirements.

- Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 depending on experience
