Requirements

Local Area Networks (VLANs).Continuously monitor network performance to identify and resolve issues.Perform and document all scheduled preventive maintenance and any unscheduled outages.Operate and maintain all VoIP components in strict compliance with DoD instructions and relevant DISA STIGs.Support major network architecture changes, including the deployment and migration of servers and other devices.Diagnose and configure connectivity for MHS site-specific servers.Monitor network performance to ensure reliability and optimal operation; plans for current and future network requirements.Participate in On-Call/Call-Back rotation for Engineering Services.Required Qualifications:Four (4) years of progressive experience demonstrating proficiency in network engineering.Experience implementing and administering enterprise network devices including routers, switches, and wireless access points.Experience with VLAN management, VoIP systems, and network security in DoD environments.Experience incorporating security measures into network designs to protect against data breaches and security threats.Experience with DISA STIG compliance for network infrastructure.Experience with network performance monitoring and preventive maintenance.DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) proficiency level: Intermediate. Cyber Role Designation: 651 - Enterprise Architect - Intermediate.Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field, OR equivalent years of experience.Required to Start: Clearance Requirements: A Tier 3 (T3) Background Investigation required. All personnel must obtain favorable suitability adjudication prior to commencement of duties.Certification Requirements: An IAT II certification required prior to performing contract tasks (DoD 8570.01-M).
